Jacques Rivette’s magnificent Celine And Julie Go Boating is scheduled for release in a new Blu-ray edition via the British Film Institute in November. The film is presented in a new high definition transfer, and comes with a new audio commentary from Adrian Martin attached to it. It ought to be a real highlight of the winter home video slate. In tenuously related news Criterion are releasing a Claude Autant Lara box-set as part of their Eclipse imprint in the new year. Comprised of Le Mariage de Chiffon, Lettres d’amour, Douce and Sylvie et le fantôme, it’s an interesting collection of films by a divisive artist.
Celine And Julie Go Boating will be available from November 20th, and can be ordered from Amazon.
